MOON
What is moon? In our live, we know about it. Actually
Moon is natural satelitte of earth. The moon is in synchronous with earth,
always showing the same face with is near side marked by dark volcanic maria
that fill between the bright ancient crustal highlands and the prominent impact
craters.
It is brightest object in the sky after the sun. Actually,
the surface of moon is dark. But, with a reflectance just slightly than that of
worn asphalt. Physically it has mean radius 1737,1 km. Its 0.273 of earth. The
surface area is 73477x1022 kg and 21958x1010 km3
of volume. And the rotation velocity is 4627m/s and one month of revolution.
Astronomers think the moon have formed about 4.5 billion years ago, not long
after the earth.
The moon makes a complete orbit around the earth every
27,3 days. However since the earth is moving in its orbitthe sun at same time.
It takes slightly longer for the moon to show the same phase to earth about
29.5 days.
Human finally landed on the moon on 21 july 1969, Neil
Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed the lunar ship on the surface of the moon. The
first person who touch the moon surface is Neil Armstrong. And Neil said “Thats
one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind”. Then as half the world watch him on television.
